Autumn is in full swing right now as I’m sure you’ve noticed, and it is beautiful, so we took some time to to appreciate it today on an autumn walk. I don’t think I’ve ever lived anywhere with quite so many trees as this valley, and at the moment it is simply spectacular. When the sun shines the trees are aflame in shades of gold, bronze and red, and even on the gloomiest day it is quite a display.
After a day well-spent taking the rubble from demolishing the walls in the soon-to-be bathroom to the tip, and tidying up the front of the house a little to make room for our trailer (which has proven very useful for carrying said rubble without filling the car with dust) we put on our walking boots and headed out with the dogs to make the most of the last rays of sun as they glinted through the trees.
It was beautiful. There’s not a lot more to say really so I’ll let the photos explain (hastily snapped on my phone with a dog tugging me along at the same time, so they don’t really do it justice). The last couple were taken as an eerie mist descended on the valley.
This is a bit different to my usual posts – what do you think?
